E-zec Medical awarded NEPTS contract for NHS Ipswich and East Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group, NHS West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group, NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group.
E-zec is delighted to be awarded this contract, which commences on 1 April 2018, and look forward to working alongside commissioners, healthcare teams and the existing NEPTS staff.
The service is to provide transport for patients who have a medical condition which means they cannot use any other form of transport without risking their health, or have specific mobility issues or need the skill and support of staff during the journey. E-zec will also provide a call handling service to check patient’s eligibility and book transport for them.
The contract will include a local dedicated call centre, control planning and despatch, road teams, and dedicated operational and compliance managers. A new fleet of vehicles has been ordered and premises around the area have already been identified. A bespoke mobilisation plan is already in progress to ensure the go-live is as successful as our resent mobilisations.
Over the coming months, E-zec’s senior management teams will be working with the commissioners, local health economy and contract stakeholders to ensure a successful transition. This will guarantee a reliable and robust service is delivered to patients from the 1 April 2018 and for the duration of the contract.
