Environmental Strategy

E-zec is committed to responsible environmental practices throughout our business. This commitment ensures that all company operations are monitored closely to identify and eliminate any detrimental effect that these may have on the environment.

The in-house Environmental Management System (EMS) that we have developed for the Company will assist in recognising any areas that are in need of improvements and will become an integral part of all company activities.

Our EMS will cover all aspects of the company including our various sites and bases, controls, offices and our vehicles. Some of the many focal points of our EMS will be:

Resources - This ranges from office equipment, power and consumables usage such as reducing paper and energy use within our offices. It also includes reducing the fuel used for our ambulances that will be achieved by constant monitoring of economic and productive use of our vehicles.

Efficiency - This will include ensuring that any equipment purchased is as energy efficient as possible and that vehicle fuel efficiency and alternate energy is considered during vehicle procurement.

Waste, emissions and pollution - This will include the monitoring of and the reduction of all types of waste and recycling any waste wherever possible; ensuring that emissions are considered during vehicle procurement and ensuring that the company generates no pollution.

Employee awareness - We will ensure that all employees are trained in environmental awareness to ensure that; no energy is used needlessly, no waste is produced unnecessarily and that our drivers know how to operate our ambulances in the most efficient manner.

Our environmental policies and procedures support the aforementioned areas. These are integrated throughout E-zec operations and reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that they are relevant and in date.
