Patient Transport Service
E-Zec is a medical transport company offering a wide range of vehicles and
personnel skill levels.
We currently operate 30 vehicles, from high-dependency
fully equipped units to non-urgent PTS ambulances.
We hold a number of Service Level Agreements and contracts with NHS hospital
Trusts for which we are responsible for the transportation for non-urgent patient
journeys and higher dependency patients. In addition, we have several long-term
agreements with other healthcare establishments.
Our responsibilities are varied and require our resources to be tailored to meet
the individual needs of the patient and the client. Our purchasers offer a wide
range of specialist services necessitating appropriately configured vehicles
and personnel skill sets.
Our Patient Transport Division provides transport for patients of all
ages who require transport to and from healthcare facilities. Our area of operation
covers Greater London, the Home Counties and the south coast.
For the security of the patient and client, all prospective PTS personnel undergo
enhanced disclosure by the Criminal Records Bureau before being accepted onto
our training course. Once fully trained, these personnel, together with our
management teams, work closely with the healthcare providers and individual
clinics, building a complete treatment package for patient. Personnel are
assigned ‘dedicated’ vehicles and routes, thus ensuring that
patients benefit from regular staff who understand each individual needs.
All our personnel are fully uniformed in order to make readily identifiable to
patients and hospital staff. They carry identification at all times.
The PTS vehicles on the fleet are configured to meet both trusts and their
patients needs, ranging from seven seater people carriers for the more able patient
to multi purpose ambulances able to accommodate chair-bound patients or those
needing the use of a stretcher. Features include darkened windows, tail lift
ramps (to accommodate wider chairs) and unwin tracking.
Each vehicle is equipped with oxygen, first aid and resuscitation kits and is
fitted with mobile phone and tracking system enabling personnel to report any
possible delays or problems that they may encounter whilst carrying out their
duties.
